Following “Hidden Hope” and “Hidden Trials,” this third installment in the “Hidden” series – “Hidden Legends” – continues to feature the new Limit Break ability. Providing a new strategy to FFTCG and dynamically changing the way matches are played, the Limit Break ability grows even more in the Hidden Legends set. In this set, we will be introducing multi-element Limit Break cards. This will further expand the range of deck construction, allowing players to find infinite ways to enjoy not just matches, but also deck building.

For the collectors, we are once again including a very rare, special version full art card (Special Card). From the latest mainline title – FINAL FANTASY XVI – comes protagonist Clive [24-005L] appearing as our Special Card. This card is foil-stamped with the signature of Kazuya Takahashi, who created the FINAL FANTASY XVI package art used on this card.

On top of the we’ve included an Ifrit (XVI) [24-001L] card as the Buy-a-Box Promo.

Furthermore, we have brought back the ever-popular Legacy Cards, which are full-art versions of previous Legend cards. This set continues to feature the brand-new “Limit Break” system, which was introduced in the previous booster pack set, Hidden Hope. Limit Breaks can significantly turn the tides of battle, and the Hidden Trials set is bound to provide even further insight. These Limit Break cards will have their own themes to allow the player to experience the evolution of these cards, right from the deck-building phase.

For the collectors, we are once again including a very rare, special version full art card (Special Card). The globally popular character from FINAL FANTASY XIII, Lightning [23-037R] will be featured as the Special Card. Not only does this card feature Miki Yamashita’s brand-new artwork, but Ms. Yamashita’s autograph is foil-printed on a card for the first time in history. The Anniversary Collection Set 2024 is the follow-up release to the Anniversary Collection Set 2022.

 

The set comes in an outer box that can be used as a mid-sized storage box and contains a 50-card prebuilt deck that can be used to play with right away, and 200 additional cards featuring sought-after characters from Opus I through Opus XVIII Resurgence of Power. On top of this, 3 copies of a new commemorative “Anniversary” promo card are included in a premium full art form, for a total count of 253 cards! Beyond Destiny continues to expand and evolve the diversity in deck construction and game strategy. In this set, we introduce characters from the 2022 Action RPG, STRANGER OF PARADISE FINAL FANTASY ORIGIN, to bring even more excitement to the world of FFTCG.

The highly sought Special Card – a very rare foil-stamped full art card – is back, featuring Jack Garland [21-124L] from STRANGER OF PARADISE FINAL FANTASY ORIGIN. This card also features Tetsuya Nomura’s autograph as a gold stamp.

"Custom Starter Set FINAL FANTASY X" is a new type of starter set that consists of 1 [preconstructed] deck of 50 cards, and an additional 50 cards that can be used to customize the deck.

The initial deck (Wind element: 24 cards, Water element: 24 cards, Light element: 2 cards) is a Wind/Water deck, but it can easily be turned into a Fire/Water or Fire/Wind deck by swapping out the Wind or Water element cards with the 24 Fire element cards included with the additional cards available for customization. Aside from those, enclosed are 26 other cards that can be swapped with any other card, enabling players to create their very own customized deck.

Unlike the various "Two Player Starter Sets" that have been released thus far, this set only includes 1 deck, but it is a new type of Starter Set in which players can enjoy rearranging and creating their original deck. It also aims to generously support beginners as they encounter their initial hurdle of deck construction.

This set includes a total of 100 cards between the [preconstructed] deck and additional cards for customization with 30 cards being Starter exclusives (10 types, 3 cards each). Among the Starter cards, one Tidus [16-139S] card is a full art premium card.

“Custom Starter Set FINAL FANTASY XIII” is the second release in the “Custom Starter Set” series, which includes one 50-card deck, along with 50 customization cards for players to experience the fun of customizing their own deck.

By simply replacing the Fire or Lightning element cards within the Starter deck (24 Fire, 24 Lightning, 2 Light element cards), with the 24 Ice element cards included in the customization cards, you can easily transform the deck into a “Fire/Ice” deck or an “Ice/Lightning” deck. Also, there are 26 freely interchangeable cards, allowing players to create an original custom deck of their own.

Unlike the “Two Player Starter Set”, the “Custom Starter Set” contains only 1 deck. However, it allows players to experience the fun of deck building for the first time, which can be a hurdle for many beginners.

Among the 100 cards included in the deck and customization cards, there are 30 total new Starter cards (3 cards each of 10 different cards). For the Starter card Lightning [19-138S], one of the cards will be a Full Art Premium Foil card.

Also, one of the reprinted cards, Lightning [13-081H], will be a Full Art Standard (non-Foil) card.

— Introducing a new feature, “Crystals”!

Having gone through the Crystal trilogy of Opus XII, Opus XIII, and Opus XIV, FFTCG now gains a new power. A portion of the Character abilities, and Summons will now appear with a new cost to be paid called “Crystals”, not the usual “Crystal Points (CP).” Use abilities and more to gain “Crystals,” and experience the latest strategy. Dice or counters can be used to keep track of the number of Crystals, but Crystal Dominion includes two kinds of premium version Crystal cards that can be used during games.

Additionally, starting with this set, the product’s title will no longer include the “Opus” text and instead will include the subtitle only. Along with avoiding new players feeling intimidated by a high number, the prominent subtitle imparts an even stronger sense of the FINAL FANTASY atmosphere.

Legacy cards appear once again in this set, with particularly popular cards from past sets included as premium full art cards. In Crystal Dominion, the following three are included: Ace [9-003L], Yiazmat [9-057L], and Ashe [10-106L].
