Pokémon Go! is finally getting its long awaited multiplayer mode, and it’s looking quite substantial. Trainers can battle other trainers both locally and online, as well as compete in leagues. There are different tiers of “friendship” that will determine whether or not you can compete online with someone. Like in other modes, Pokémon can use fast and hold attacks in non-turn-based combat. After battle, both combatants will be rewarded with candy and rare items. A single-player training battle mode is also available to allow players to get some solo experience.
