The second entry in the 'Mysterious' saga follows the adventures of the enthusiastic Firis Mistlud and her loving older sister Liane Mistlud.
The sisters have lived their entire lives in the isolated town of Ertona, where Firis uses her unique ability to see where crystals of materials are buried. By way of a fateful encounter, Firis learns of the Alchemy Exam and decides to take her first step into the outside world, setting off on a grand journey to become a certified alchemist and discover the mysteries that life has to offer!

Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book

Set against a vibrant background reminiscent of a medieval European town, the Atelier series’ latest standalone installment follows the exploits of a young novice Alchemist, Sophie, who discovers she is the owner of an enigmatic book imbued with a soul. This Mysterious Book seems to hold all the secrets to the art of Alchemy, even going on to become Sophie’s mentor. Lydie and Suelle are twin sisters, who are also alchemists, living in Merveille, the capital of the Kingdom of Adalet, and they aim to make their atelier the best atelier in the kingdom.
One day, they find a Mysterious Painting with a strange and wonderful world inside of it, full of rare materials for their alchemy. This discovery is sure to become the very key to realizing their dream.

• Exploration - Freely roam around the Lantarna mainland while enjoying battles and gathering materials! There are multi-level dungeons known as “Dimensional Paths,” where the map and monsters change with each visit, and rarer ingredients can be obtained as the difficulty level increases. In addition, players might find rare accessories known as “Starpearls” by opening treasure chests or defeating mighty opponents. Explore the dimensional paths in search of higher-quality synthesis ingredients and Starpearls!
• Battles - Enjoy strategic timeline command battles! Make use of “Multi-Actions” where the action order of allies and enemies can be switched, and “Interrupt” to empower allies with panel effects that are linked to the timeline. Additionally, enjoy even more exhilarating battles by using features such as “Item Mix,” which mixes item elements and effects!
• Synthesis - Create your own unique items using the simple yet intricate “Gift Color Synthesis”! In this simple system, items can be made by adding ingredients according to the recipes. By linking the Gift Colors of ingredients, their traits will be carried over to the finished product. Players can also unlock new recipes by adding specific ingredients to certain recipes. Additionally, each recipe has three arrangement slots where extra ingredients can be added, boosting the effects of the finished product. Players might even be able to discover new ways to synthesize by using the “Catalyst Ingredients” found within the dimensional paths!
• Town Development Shop Management - Sell items created through synthesis or found while exploring! Help boost the town's restoration activities by selling a variety of items, and then invest the profits and resources earned from the shop to develop the town further. As the town starts to bustle once again, reference books containing new synthesis recipes will be made available, and the story will develop!

Set in a world that no longer values alchemy, The Alchemist of Dusk stars a lonely girl named Ayesha Altugle who struggles to keep her herbalist workshop open after her grandfather dies and her little sister Nio disappears. But when Ayesha sees someone who looks like Nio walking through ruins one day, she decides her sister must still be alive and goes on a quest to find her.<br><br>Much of the gameplay focuses on Ayesha's ability to harvest or purchase hundreds of different ingredients that she can then combine into useful potions, weapons, or other items. Players are free to move around the 3D cities and shop at stores, recruit party members, and accept quests for the townsfolk. The overhead-view world map finds gamers traveling along a fixed path to various wilderness locations where they can once again move freely to harvest ingredients or engage in combat. Battles are turn-based, and players can enlist the help of their party members for combo attacks, with each character earning experience points for battlefield successes.

The beautiful role-playing game follows the exploits of teenage tomboy Ryza, who dreams of escaping her mundane village lifestyle alongside her band of mischievous friends. Nelke & the Legendary Alchemists: Ateliers of the New World puts players in the shoes of Nelke von Lestamm, a young noblewoman who has always been fascinated by the ancient legend of the Sage of Granzweit; a tale of the Granzweit Tree which is said to bestow great power upon those who discover it. As she grew up and learned her skills were not in alchemy, she studied hard to become a government official and help those around her. The day Nelke is set to graduate the academy, however, her life changes forever as she hears a rumor that the tree can be found within her father’s lands near the small village of Westwald. Her father grants her permission to search for it on one condition – that she becomes governor of the area and develops Westwald into a prosperous city.

As players work hard to build Westwald up from a quaint village to a flourishing city, they will require the aid of the many alchemists that settle in the town.
